2019 Washington Seminar

The Washington Event on “A COMMON FUTURE: THE UNITED STATES AND ITALY” took place on October 17, 2019 at the Embassy of Italy.
 
Ambassadors Armando Varricchio (Ambassador of Italy to the U.S.) and Lewis M. Eisenberg (U.S. Ambassador to Italy), delivered the welcome addresses, along with Council Chairman Domenico Siniscalco.
 
Luigi Di Maio (Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Italy) and Philip T. Reeker (Acting Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Department of State, USA) moderated by Gianni Riotta (Executive Vice Chairman of the Council for the US and Italy) debated on “The US and Italy: Outlook on Transatlantic Relations".
 
Keynote speeches at the event were delivered by Lawrence A. Kudlow (Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Director, National Economic Council) and Kenneth Rogoff (Professor of Economics, Harvard University).
