2016 - Yearend dinner of the Italian Alums with Alberto Alemanno

The yearend dinner took place on December 12 at the Milan headquarters of the Boston Consulting Group.

The guest speaker of the dinner was Alberto Alemanno, a legal scholar, public interest lawyer and civic entrepreneur, well-known for his work on the European Union, evidence-based policy making and civic engagement. Alberto Alemanno is Jean Monnet Professor in EU Law & Risk Regulation at HEC Paris and Global Clinical Professor of Law at New York University School of Law. He is Co-founder and Director of The Good Lobby, a civic start-up connecting academics and professionals to non-profit organizations that need to make their voice heard. Finally yet importantly, Alberto is a Young Leaders Alumnus himself, having participated in the Trieste conference in 2012, as well as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.

The title of Alberto's talk was “The changing face of continuing education in a disruptive world”. Alberto helped participants navigate the new world of higher education and the disruptive forces, both economic and academic, which are making it a new battleground for the various proponents of results-oriented outcomes.
