All about jobs - Meeting with Federico Butera and Riccardo Staglianò

Will a robot do your job in the future? How will the nature of work change in the next decade? What role will the institutions, entrepreneurs, unions, political forces, civil society and educational systems play on the labor market? These and much more questions enlivened an Alumni event that took place in Rome, on July 10, 2017 on the theme “All about jobs”.

The event featured two guest speakers: Federico Butera, Labor sociologist and Professor Emeritus of Organization Sciences at Milano Bicocca University, and our Young Leaders Alumnus Riccardo Staglianò, La Repubblica’s journalist, who recently wrote the book “Al posto tuo. Come i robot ci stanno rubando il futuro” (In your place. How robots are stealing our future.)

Together with many Alumni, a delegation of our international new pool of Young Leaders took part in the event for the first time in preparation for their experience in Boston. In fact, the discussion was an “appetizer” of the debate that will take place at the September 2017 Boston Young Leaders Conference on “The Changing Nature of Work and its Implications for Individuals, Businesses, and Society/Politics”.
